Updates to Google Calendar Sync, Google Analytics/GTM and Reports

Significant changes to the Google Calendar Sync were deployed last week. All existing connections remain as-configured but will see more immediate updates made in both directions (From BusyPaws to Google and from Google to BusyPaws). Additionally, you may now sync multiple calendars to one BusyPaws user profile. Meaning if you manage your schedule on multiple Google Calendars, each calendar can be sync'd to BusyPaws to selectively block time. More information found in the help article, here.

We've added support for Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Meta Pixel. Adding IDs for each will add tracking code to all client-facing pages within BusyPaws. More information here.

We've updated the reporting data and charts which may affect how you process information. Details below and additional information found here.

  • Revenue Totals: Previously all revenue totals were a sum of invoice totals. This has been updated to be a sum of all invoice subtotals. Meaning Revenue charts will not include tax, tips, or discounts.
  • Discounts and Credits Chart: Total of all invoice-level discounts and credits during period.
  • Taxes Collected Chart and Report: The chart displays a sum of all taxes collected in period. A new report available shows which taxes were collected and their total sum during the period.
  • Tips Chart: A total for all tips collected in period.
  • Revenue Sources: Previously if a Package or Series was sold as part of the booking process, the associated line item on the invoice would include the service the client was self-registering for. As a result, this line item total would be counted within the Series or Package totals and the Service totals. Now, when a Series or Package is recorded on the line item it will not also count revenue for the associated Service.
